She was my shy, sweet, beautiful baby girl, and just after midnight on April 18, 1986, she left me to go to Rainbow Bridge. I know her mother Frosty was there to greet her.
She was a lovely little dog, white with brindled gold, with beautiful dark eyes and an expression that always seemed to be smiling. She was shy and always held back while her more outgoing mother, Frosty, and sister, Shadow, got the attention from visitors and friends ... she was gentle and passive and yet she made our world beautiful because she was in it.
When she was 8 she became ill. She was on medication and seemed to be doing well ... till suddenly she went into renal failure. The vet tried other treatment, and it seemed to help, for a day or two ...
Then on that April 18, at just about the time I'm writing this, she became restless and wanted to go outside. She was a little shaky, and I knew I would be taking her to the vet again in the morning. Her daddy picked her up and took her outside. She went potty and he carried her back in and put her on the bed ... and her heart just stopped. It was that quick, that quiet and peaceful. Just like that, my shy sweet baby was gone.
Ginnie baby ... you're still loved, and you'll never, ever be forgotten. You're at Rainbow Bridge with all my other lovely little dogs ... your mother Frosty, your sister Shadow, your daughter Romi and now your granddaughter Kaylee ... remember, when Kaylee was born, even though you were sick you tried to take her away from Romi because you wanted to be her mother? You're all together again now at the Bridge ... and oh, what a wonderful welcome I know I'll have someday, when you're all there to greet me! I love you, baby, and I miss you.
